Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis, in an interview with TV Action on Friday, said that the government's success or failure in the next general elections will not depend on the actions of former SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras nor those of his former party. "Society's only criterion will be the government's effectiveness, as it was in 2023".

Asked about the amendment regarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and any possible reactions that may occur during the celebrations of the national anniversary of October 28, Pavlos Marinakis stated:

"I will say that anyone who occupies public space - whether it is a university or anything else - anyone who attempts to provoke through actions that are illegal, anyone who acts against citizens, is acting unlawfully. They are outside the law.  This government, with that well-known 41% - which is evaluated daily and will ultimately be judged again by society, by the citizens, by the voters - received a clear mandate: "Break all those chains that kept the country hostage to certain ideological obsessions".
