Helleniq Energy officially announced on Monday its agreement with Edison to buy out 50% of Elpedison.
According to the agreement, the share capital is worth nearly 164 million euros, plus readjustments of up to 31 million euros that relate to diversifiations in specific balance sheet and cash items data.
The agreement needs to be approved by the regulatory authorities before signing, with the transfer of ownershp expected to be completed in the first half of 2025. At that point, Helleniq Energy will acquire full (100%) control of Elpedison.
Elpedison is active in electricity production through two natural gas units and the supply and marketing of natural gas.
