Kasselakis: There is no 'road map' for the slaughter of a people

Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis, in a post on social media on Wednesday, commented on the opinion expressed by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, that "this is not the right time" for the recognition of a Palestinian state.
Referring to what Mitsotakis said regarding the need to initially follow "a roadmap", Kasselakis asked: "Which road map does he mean? Netanyahu's roadmap? The roadmap of settlements that have been condemned by the UN? There is no 'road map' for the slaughter of a people."
"There is no better time than now, when all of Europe is mobilising and three countries - Spain, Ireland, Norway - have already proceeded with recognition," he added, calling on the prime minister "to stop evading the issue and proceed with the immediate recognition of the Palestinian state, which is a guarantee for the peaceful coexistence of the Israeli and Palestinian people in the Middle East".
"Greece has always been on the right side of history in terms of the observance of international law and the struggles of peoples for independence. I call on the prime minister not to tarnish this national heritage," Kasselakis concluded.
