No extenuating circumstances admitted for defendants in Kolonos child rape case

The court conducting the trial for the rape and subsequent prostitution of a 12-year-old girl from Kolonos, in a unanimous decision on Monday, did not admit any extenuating circumstances for Ilias Michos, the main defendant in the case, who consequently faces a life sentence.
The court also unanimously denied any extenuating circumstances for the man known as 'Michalis', while also denying them in the case of the girl's mother, by a majority of six votes to one.
For the remaining 17 defendants, the court recognised their lack of a previous criminal record. The court is expected to pass sentences soon.
