Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance President Stefanos Kasselakis on Wednesday announced the heads and deputy heads of each policy sector - who will serve as his 'shadow cabinet' - at a meeting of the SYRIZA Parliamentary Group presidency.
In a social media post regarding the announcement earlier, Kasselakis said that he had made every effort to create a team that was "unifying" with the future of progressive politics and the modern left in mind.
"As I have already announced, the main production of policy will be transferred to the sections and to society, with our sector heads actively involved in both," he added.
"To be absolutely clear toward the people of SYRIZA who trust me and encourage me every day: Whoever undermines the unity of the Parliamentary Group and the future of SYRIZA-PA will not have a place in the party's future ballots. And anyone who is interested in running as a candidate in the upcoming European elections must register as a member of SYRIZA at www.isyriza.gr. That is where the new SYRIZA is being built. That is where the cadres of the next generation will be born," Kasselakis said.
