One person was injured in an incident that occurred outside the OAKA stadium a few hours before the start of a game between the teams Panathinaikos and the Volos on Sunday. According to a police announcement, a team of Panathinaikos supporters started fighting amongst themselves for as yet unknown reasons at about 14:00 on Sunday, with the result that a 40-year-old from Armenia was slightly injured with a sharp implement.

The injured man was taken to Agia Olga hospital to receive first aid and the police proceeded to detain 25 individuals.

The department against organised sports violence is conducting an investigation into the case.
