The government has absorbed only 1% of the funds of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) while the land burnt during the last five years is without precedence, main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis said on Monday in a post on social media accompanied by a video.

More specifically, Kasselakis stated:

"More than 550 million euros have been allocated to Greece from the Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) for civil protection and measures to deal with fires. How much has been absorbed? Only 1%. We have the government of 1%! 1% efficiency. In 5 years, the largest part of land in the history of the country has been burned."

"But the funds not used for fire safety were used for propaganda," he said and cited videos of the complaints regarding the difficulties of the fire extinguishing operation.
