Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis' first stop on his tour of the island of Crete on Thursday was in the city of Chania. Earlier, he had met with members of the main opposition party's regional committee, accompanied by SYRIZA MPs Pavlos Polakis and Evangelos Apostolakis. Kasselakis spoke of a united party that has nothing to fear.

"I am honoured and touched to visit my home region, next to the people with whom we started this journey six months ago. Before the start of my campaign I met with Alexis Tsipras in Chania, at a time when things were difficult...we have passed through many stages, SYRIZA has recovered and, as you can see, it has nothing to fear," he said.
