The Hellenic Police on Tuesday reported the arrest of four suspects during an operation to dismantle a criminal ring recruiting underage girls to work as prostitutes. The arrests followed an investigation by the Attica Security Police Protection of Minors department, in an operation conducted on March 17-18 in the Athens neighbourhoods of Vyronas, Egaleo, and in Attiki Square and Omonia Square in central Athens.

Two Greek men aged 54 and 25 years old, and two Greek women aged 25 and 21 years, respectively, were taken into custody on the strength of warrants for their arrest, on charges of human trafficking and, in the case of the 25-year-old woman, an additional charge of dealing drugs.
