SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis responded to strong criticism he has received over the last days from party officials.

In a post on his personal social media accounts, Kasselakis stated: "For at least five years, specific SYRIZA executives appeared on TV opposing SYRIZA.

A few days ago I explicitly stated that this practice is no longer tolerated ... Therefore, (party cadres) Giannis Vitsas, Panos Skourletis, Nikos Filis who appeared in the last few days on TV to oppose their own party, chose to put themselves outside SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance. I am particularly sorry for Vitsas, with whom I had a good personal relationship and whom I value. But the river cannot go back. I have received a clear order from the members of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance."
